Originally named Contrology, Pilates was developed in the 1920’s by Joseph Pilates. Pilates emphasizes the uniformed development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and body awareness in order to perform efficient, graceful movements. One of the most unique qualities of Pilates is how it works effectively for a wide range of people. Whether if you are an athlete, dancer, senior, pregnant, or just the average Joe, there is a place for you in Pilates. In addition, we give all of our students the opportunity to try Pilates for free by offering a complimentary private Pilates lesson with any of our certified Pilates instructors.

With its six principles – Centering, Control, Flow, Breath, Precision, and Concentration – Pilates will not only strengthen your muscles, but you will leave feeling thinner, taller and more coordinated. Our fully equipped Pilates studio consist of the following Peak Pilates apparatus:

  • 4 Reformers
  • 4 Towers
  • 2 Cadillacs
  • 2 Wunda Chairs
  • 1 High Ladder Barrel
  • 1 Pedi Pole
  • 1 Foot Corrector
  • Numerous props (i.e. foam rollers, balls, bosu ball, etc…)
